This pieces-only set reproduces the handmade "luxury" edition of that design in ebonized and natural boxwood. It suits collectors of modernist design, players who already own a board, and anyone looking for a conversation piece for a shelf or coffee table.

What's Included

32 chess pieces (board and box not included)

Chess Pieces

Handcrafted by skilled artisans, these compact pieces pair a dark ebonized finish with the pale grain of natural boxwood.

King: 2.0 in (50 mm) tall, 1.1 in (29 mm) base

Queen: 2.0 in (50 mm) tall, 1.1 in (29 mm) base

Bishop: 1.2 in (30 mm) tall, 1.1 in (29 mm) base

Knight: 1.1 in (29 mm) tall, 1.1 in (28 mm) base

Rook: 1.1 in (29 mm) tall, 1.1 in (28 mm) base

Pawn: 0.7 in (19 mm) tall, 0.7 in (18 mm) base

Dark pieces: ebonized boxwood

Light pieces: natural boxwood

Recommended square size: 1.56 in to 1.76 in (40 mm to 45 mm)

Total weight of pieces: 0.9 lb (420 g)

Number of pieces: 32

Care

Clean the pieces with a dry, soft cloth only.
