1923 Bauhaus Chess Set – Ebonized…1923 Bauhaus Chess Set – Ebonized Boxwood Pieces with Ebony Chess Board

This set reproduces the 1923 chessmen designed by Bauhaus sculptor Josef Hartwig, who reduced each piece to simple cubes, cylinders and spheres whose shapes reflect how the piece moves. It follows the handmade "luxury" version of the original design rather than the simpler everyday edition, and comes paired with a matching ebony and maple board. A natural fit for design lovers, modern interiors and anyone looking for a distinctive gift.
